Announcement (or reminder?) – Girls Only Book Club

Posted by alicia on Aug 27, 2008 in Uncategorized |

Hi Ladies,

I have been wanting to start a girls only book club for a couple of years, and it is finally happening (thanks to to some strong encouragement from my neighbor). Our first book has been a popular read over the past year – Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat Pray Love.

We are going to meet on Sept. 6th around 6:30pm in Church Hill to discuss the first section of the book. We will also have an Italian dinner and drink yummy wine. I think we could do a potluck style dinner and also do some cooking together.

So – get the book, read the first section (Eat), and think of yummy food & drink we can share with each other!

Hi Alicia! I was just reading Aoife and Ryan’s blog about your wedding gift to them…and, well, here I am!
I feel like I know you and Daniel–I have heard so much about you both. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that your book club sounds great. It is exactly the kind of book club I would want to be in if I was in one. I started reading “Eat, Pray, Love” last week and I think Elizabeth Gilbert is so funny–you know, laugh-out-loud funny! Sounds like a great evening. Have fun! Oh, by the way, I’m Ryan’s mom; nice to meet you. AND, what a great wedding gift–can’t think of anything they will use more. They are so cute! Take care, Sandy
