Poetry Lovers?

I’m wondering how many poetry fans are out there. Especially, how many of you would be interested in a Wine & Poetry Night? Are we comfortable enough with each other to read our favorite poems with each other…..or, if not, are we comfortable enough to get together and drink all the wine necessary for us to share our favorite poems with each other? I’d like to think this could be an experience that leaves us inspired and refreshed….not weirded out. What do you think?
i would read aloud…poetry is always better that way. i’m a t.s. eliot, john donne, and pablo neruda fan…
i am also a fan of t.s. elliot & john donne! i’ve never read pablo neruda.
I think you’d really like Pablo Neruda, Alicia. He’s one of my favorites — very beautiful, earthy writing. John Donne is another one of my favorites. When I did student teaching in college, I taught a short unit on John Donne, which included his poem “The Flea.” Seeing high school juniors realize what the poem really was saying was so funny!
I’d read aloud but I live in Baltimore. I’d have to read aLOUD for anyone to hear me.
